Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

Step 1: Preheat the oven.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

Step 2: Prepare the filling.
In a medium bowl, combine the feta cheese, ricotta cheese, and shredded mozzarella. Mix in the salt, black pepper, and parsley until well combined.

Step 3: Assemble the bourekas.
Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 12 equal squares. Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center of each square. Fold over to create a triangle, pressing the edges to seal.

Step 4: Apply the egg wash.
Brush the tops of the bourekas with the beaten egg to give them a golden, shiny finish when baked.

Step 5: Bake and serve.
Place the bourekas on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm as a delicious appetizer for your dinner party.
